WILLIAMSPORT - Mary A. Fischer, 91, passed away Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015, at ManorCare North, Williamsport. Mary, born Aug. 14, 1924, was the daughter of the late George and Anna B. (Musheno) Sechler.
She married Lawrence C. Fischer Feb. 5, 1946, they had shared 52 years of marriage before Lawrence passed away July 21, 1998.
Mary enjoyed being a homemaker. She also enjoyed bingo, bowling and playing cards. Mary was a long time member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Mary is survived by a son, Lawrence J. (Carol) Fischer; four daughters, Joan M. (Patrick) Schuler, Pensacola, Fla., Monica A. Hutchinson, South Williamsport, Peggy L. (John) Sepe, Williamsport and Connie S. (Jerry) Wikstrom, Williamsport; one sister, Doris Winner, Williamsport; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her husband Lawrence, Mary was predeased by five brothers, James, Paul, Charles, Robert, and Eugene Sechler and Stanley âMoeã Hart, her daughter, Monica's companion.
The funeral service for Mary will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, with a public viewing from 8:30-9:30, at the church. Monsignor Stephen D. McGough will be officiating the service. Burial will be at Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport.
Memorial donations can be made in memory of Mary to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
