(Mccafferty) Connacher
December 20, 1922 – July 29, 2016
Mary V. "McCafferty" Connacher, 93, of Willliamsport, passed away, Friday, July 29, 2016, peacefully at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Francis E. and Edith R. (Morrison) McCafferty.
Mary had shared 42 wonderful years with the love of her life, Frank D. Connacher, before his passing in 1994.
She had been a faithful member of the St. Joseph the Worker Parish.
When her children were young they would walk from one end of town to the other, visiting with family. Mary loved to go shopping, play bingo, go bowling, go on bus trips to the casino, but family was number one in her life. She especially loved the family camping trips and family picnics.
Surviving family members include one son, Frank, of Cogan Station; three daughters, Rosemarie Lovell, of Virginia, Linda (Gary) Pfleegor and Evelyn (William) Hudgens, both of Williamsport; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Williams, Idamae Connacher and Virginia Hutchinson and one brother, Edward McCafferty.
Friends and family are invited to come and celebrate Mary's life on Monday, August 1, 2016, from 5 to 7 pm, at the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation and Funeral Home, 500 W 4th St., Williamsport. There will also be a visitation the following day, Tuesday August 2, 2016, from 9-10 am, at the St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 711 W Edwin St., Williamsport, with a mass beginning at 10 am. Burial will be at the Montoursville cemetery.
