Neil L. Howard, 91, of Williamsport, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024 at UPMC Williamsport. He was born on May 12, 1932 in Williamsport to the late Oradell and Sylvia (Eck) Howard.

Neil was a life time member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Republican Club, Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the Sons of Italy. He was musician and played guitar in the "String Dusters" band with the DiMarco brothers. Neil worked as a roofer. He married the love of his live, the former Beverly Ann Johns. They were together for 57 years until her passing on June 24, 2016. In their younger years, Neil and his wife were avid bowlers. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially going to his hunting camp year-round with his family. Neil also liked to cook a great meal.

Neil is survived by a son, Neil L. (Michele) Howard, Jr. of Manheim; two daughters, Danita Sayah (Timothy Klotz) of Williamsport; Linda G. (Timothy) Kilburn of Reinholds; a daughter-in-law, Debra Sayah; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Beverly, Neil is preceded in death by a son, Daniel E. Sayah II, a grandson, Seth Howard; and 12 brothers and sisters.

Family and friends are invited to attend a public viewing from 6pm-8pm on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024 and from 10am-11am on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation and Funeral Home, 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport. The funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, March 1, 2024 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
