Nazareth – Paul Bader, 96, formerly of Williamsport/Montoursville, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the St. Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem, PA., following a brief illness.

The son of the late Sigmund and Eva (Rabinoff) Bader, Paul was born and raised in the Bronx, NY.

After graduating from College of the City of New York with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Paul served as a First Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

Following the war, Paul worked in the photo flash division at Sylvania.  He married the love of his life, Phyllis (Salman), in 1949.  Soon after, they moved to the Williamsport area where they raised their family.

Over his 60 plus years in the community, Paul was a prominent member of Ohev Sholom Congregation, serving as President of the Men's Club and on the Board of Directors.

In his spare time, Paul enjoyed photography, calligraphy and woodworking; many of his projects will be cherished for generations to come.

Paul leaves his wife of 67 years, Phyllis; his son, Fred; his son, Jeff and his wife, Rosie; his daughter, JoEllen Rosenberg and her husband, Leigh; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.  He was predeceased by his sister, Chaike Levine.

The funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Williamsport Federation of Jewish Charities, P.O. Box 1973, Williamsport, PA 17703 or to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 15120, Chicago, IL, 60693.

In keeping with Jewish tradition, there will be no flowers or viewing.
