Rose M. Gorden

Rose M. Gorden, 77, of Williamsport, passed away of natural causes on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Edenbrook North, Williamsport. She was born in Denver, Colorado on November 24, 1948, a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Leopard) Berger.

Rose earned an associate’s degree in business from the Newport Business Institute in her early 50’s. In her younger years, she did ceramics and Tri-Chem artwork (liquid embroidery). Rose enjoyed crocheting, creating many heirlooms for her family. She loved her fur babies, most recently, a teacup chihuahua and a calico cat. Rose had many pets throughout her life that she adored.

Rose is survived by three sons, Rocky Stugart, Jr. (Teresa) of Hughesville; Tod Richards, and Aaron Meixel; two daughters, Jan Way of Williamsport; and Cindy Hall (Luke) of Jersey Shore; 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and a brother, Kenneth Gorden. In addition to her mother, Rose is preceded in death by three brothers.

In keeping with Rose’s wishes, services will be private at the convenience of the family.
