Roy Henry Belcher III, age 85, formerly of Williamsport, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025.
Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Henry Belcher Jr. and Emma Joanna (Lloyd) Belcher, and son, Jeffery Todd Belcher (deceased November 5, 1967). He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Eldora "Betsy" (Westphal) Belcher, also of Williamsport; sister, Nancy Kay Woodring of Clearwater, FL; five children, Kimberly Ann Yonkin (William) of Florence, SC; Chad Alan Belcher (Kimberly) of Brighton, MI; Lon David Belcher (Brenda) of Jersey Shore, PA; Neil Scott Belcher (Monique) of Leesburg, VA; nine grandchildren, Philip Yonkin, Joshua Belcher, Mariah Belcher, Zachary Belcher, Roman Belcher, Emma Belcher, Grace Belcher and Andres Belcher, and two great-grandchildren.
Roy graduated from Williamsport High School in 1957, then went on to enlist in the United States Air Force that same year. He was stationed at Vandenberg Air Force base in Santa Barbara County, CA, where he assisted the maintenance unit that sent the first defense missiles to England during the Cold War.
Roy then returned back home to Williamsport in 1962 and enrolled in Lycoming college before becoming involved in the family business, Belcher's Fencing Company, which he ran until 2007 before passing on the business to his son, Chad.
Roy was an avid lover of the outdoors, and spent his free time hunting and fishing as a member of R Gun Club in Rauchtown, PA. He was also a lifelong member of the NRA, and in 1968 he founded the Keystone Sportsman Association, in Muncy, PA. Roy was passionate about trap shooting, having shot more than 100,000 registered clays, he led the expansion of KSA to a membership of over 500 people.

There will be a public viewing 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2025 at the Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, 500 W. 4th St., Williamsport where the Celebration of Life ceremony will be held 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Tim Hartzell officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery with military honors.
