POMPANO BEACH, FL - Saralee (Hausman) Wahl of Pompano Beach, FL and Williamsport, Pa., passed away peacefully on January 21, 2017.

Adored mother of Lawrence (Elise) Wahl of Coral Springs, Fla., Jill Wahl Frankel and Harry (Cindy) Wahl, both of Williamsport.

Cherished grandmother of Elisabeth, Caleb (Annie) and Max (Ashley) Frankel; Zachary (Jen), Abigail (Carl) and Diana Wahl; and Mindy (Deena) Darwish and Alexander Wahl.

Devoted great-grandmother of Hunter Hepler; Ezra, Theodor and Abner Frankel and Mazel Frankel.

Beloved sister of Roberta Marks and Joel (Nancy) Hausman.

Saralee was born in Pittsburgh, February 17, 1932 to Howard and Ida Hausman. She met her husband Ronald Wahl, who predeceased her in 2003, while they both attended Penn State. She lived a full and active life. A member of Temple Beth Ha-Sholom in Williamsport, and a life member of Hadassah, she was a past president of the Temple Sisterhood and past chair of the Temple's Charity Ball. She served as a tutor for the Laubach Literacy Program and was involved in the GreenCircle Interfaith School Program.

An avid golfer and mahjong player, she was a member of both the Williamsport Country Club and Palm Aire Country Club.

Saralee greatly loved and was adored by her three children, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two siblings.  She savored hosting holiday dinners, family gatherings and was the center of the family tree.  She was a caring and beautiful person, both inside and out, who showed love to everyone with whom she came in contact.  She relished life, her family and her many friends both in Florida and Pennsylvania.  She kept a full calendar with social events and tee times until her last few days.

Funeral Services will be Friday, January 27 at 1:00 p.m. at Temple Beth Ha-Sholom, 425 Center Street in Williamsport with interment to follow at Wildwood Cemetery. The family will receive visitors prior to the service beginning at Noon on Friday in the Temple Library and at a future date, time and place in south Florida.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Saralee's name to Temple Beth Ha-Sholom or Hadassah.

Arrangements are being handled by the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport.
