Sherry L. (Betts) Hamman, 70, of Williamsport, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at UPMC Williamsport. She was born in Williamsport on January 6, 1954, a daughter of the late Foster Betts and Carlene (McMichael) Grimes.

Sherry worked as a certified nursing assistant and owned her own business as a housekeeper. She retired from the Lycoming County Courthouse where she worked in the custodial department. Sherry married the loved of her life, Larry R. Hamman, who survives, and they have spent over 40 years together. After her retirement, she worked tirelessly in her beautiful flower garden and her yard. Sherry loved her canine companions, Harley and Buster. She also liked to shop in her free time.

In addition to her husband of 20 years, Larry, Sherry is survived by a daughter, Renee Sanders of Williamsport; two stepsons, Ji Hamman of South Williamsport; and Wayne Hamman of Williamsport; two grandchildren, Brenden and Darrell; several great and great-great grandchildren; a brother, Foster Betts, Jr. (Heather)  of Selinsgrove; a sister, Catherine Shoemaker (Arthur) of Williamsport; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Sherry is preceded in death by a brother, Mike Betts.

In keeping with Sherry's wishes, there will be no services at this time.
