WILLIAMSPORT - Sondra "Sandy" Biber, 83, of Williamsport, passed away, Thursday, February 2, 2017, peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on March 24, 1933, in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Jack and Beatrice (Moskowitz) Cohen.

Sandy was married to the love of her life, Donald Biber and they were blessed to share 65 years together. Sandy and Donald have known one another since they were eight years old.

Sandy was a homemaker, who devoted her life to her family, she was a loving wife, mother, and a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother; she was looked up to by her family as their hero.  She was known as a strong, kind and loving soul who never had a bad thing to say about anything or anyone. Sandy loved to eat and many family gatherings were centered around having meals together.  Sandy was an avid golfer, she was involved in Community Theater and loved Penn State Football. Sandy was a Volunteer for the Friends of the Court. She enjoyed her weekly game of Mahjong at the Country Club. Sandy was very devoted to the Jewish faith and was a member of the Temple Beth Ha-Sholom and a life member of Hadassah and The Temple Sisterhood.

Surviving in addition to her husband is two sons; Steven (Cindi), Biber of Montoursville and Alan (Sharon) Biber, of Williamsport; 1 daughter, Rona (Thomas) Via of Williamsport, six grandchildren, Matthew (Jess), Jason (Marielia), Blair (Carl), Marrisa, Samantha, and Andrew, also five great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Sebastian, Joaquin, Aiden, and Anthony.

The family will have a gathering of family and friends at the Congregation Beth Ha-Sholom, 425 Center St. Williamsport, Monday, February 6, 2017 from 12pm -1pm. There will also be a service at 1pm and Burial following in Wildwood Cemetery.

In keeping with Jewish traditions there will be no flowers accepted by the family but memorial contributions can be made in Sandy's honor to the Temple Beth Ha-Sholom, 425 Center Street, Williamsport, PA  17701

Arrangements have been entrusted to Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation and Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St. Williamsport.
