SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT - Stephen A. "Steve" Condo, 68, died on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Gatehouse.

He was born on November 10, 1947 in Williamsport and was the son of the late Andrew B. and Margaret L. (Straka) Condo.  He served with the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1965 – 1969  and had worked for the Local 158; Highway Construction and retired from Doc's Carpet.

Stephen was a member of the VFW and enjoyed golf, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and was a fan of music.

Stephen is survived by his companion of 31 years; Helen E. Wettlaufer of S. Williamsport, two sons; Stephen A. Condo, II and Matthew A. Condo,  both of S. Williamsport, three daughters; Nicole Condo and Amy Condo, both of Harrisburg and Jessica Moyer of Williamsport, ten grandchildren, one brother; Paul W. Condo of Phoenix, AZ and three sisters; Diann Mason and Andrea Kopp, both of S. Williamsport and Christine Cummings of Williamsport.

Above everything in life, he loved his grandchildren.

There will be a gathering of family and friends 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2016 at the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., 500 W. 4th St., Williamsport where the memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
