WILLIAMSPORT - Stewart D. Boyer Sr., 84, passed away Tuesday, November 17th, 2015 at the Gatehouse Hospice Care Center.

He was born February 5, 1931 in Fleetwood, PA, the son of the late Walter and Anna (Reed) Boyer.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Gstalter) Boyer.  They were united in marriage on March 31, 1951 and shared 64 years together.

Stewart attended the Central Baptist Church of Williamsport. He was employed by two shoe manufacturing companies, Bethlehem Steel Corporation and he retired from Hope Enterprises in June 2008.

He enjoyed watching football and old western movies.  Stewart was a very independent man that loved to work with his hands and was proud to be able to do things on his own.  He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Stewart "Skip" (Judy) of Elimsport, Chad (Sarah) of Highland, IN, and Jeffrey of Williamsport; 3 daughters, Donna Weaver  of Williamsport, Betty Ramin (Terry) of Williamsport and Peggy Kimble (Jeffrey) of Montoursville.  He is also survived by a sister, Shirley Kinney of South Williamsport.   Stewart is further survived by  11 grandchildren, Kerri Kime, Shannon Siperko, Kenneth Weaver, Jr., Lindsay Sauers, Stacey Ramin, Christopher and Michael Boyer, Nathan and Trisha Kimble, Emma and Tessa Boyer and also by 13 Great grandchildren with another great grandchild on the way.

Stewart was predeceased by 2 brothers, James Boyer and Leroy Boyer and a son-in-law Kenneth Weaver, Sr.

Stewart's services will be at the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, 500 West 4th Street, Williamsport beginning with a visitation Friday, Nov 20, 2015 6-8 PM and Saturday, Nov 21, 2015 9-10 AM.  His funeral service will follow Saturday's visitation at 10 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Eleanor Siegrist officiating.  Burial will be at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Montgomery, PA.

In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hope Enterprises, 2401 Reach Road, Williamsport or to the Central Baptist Church, 601 7th Avenue, Williamsport.
