Susanne E. Moore

MONTOURSVILLE - Susanne E. (Winch) Moore, 67, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

She was born on June 12, 1959 in St. Petersburg, Florida and was the daughter of the late James P. and Edith G. (Goodnoe) Winch. She graduated from Coudersport High School and then Grove City College with a BA in Elementary Education. Susanne began her teaching career at Christian schools in Port Allegheny, PA and then Clearfield, PA. She substitute taught at various school districts in Lycoming County and then several private pre-schools later in her life. Throughout her teaching and life, she touched numerous lives with her compassion for others.

She was a member of the Community Baptist Church, Montoursville, volunteered with various local ministries and was very active in her faith. She enjoyed musical activities and was a member of a local flute choir. She also enjoyed reading, cooking, spending time with her dog, Precious and visiting with her very good friends. She definitely had a sweet tooth, greatly enjoyed the summer months and sunshine, and loved everything about the Christmas season. Most of all she took great pride in raising her sons and being a Mother.

Susanne is survived by two sons; James T. Moore (Sarah Ramaley) of Pittsburgh and Philip M. Moore (Amy) of Mechanicsburg, one granddaughter; Lily C. Moore of Pittsburgh, one brother; Robert Winch of Mt. Joy and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister; Dianne Winch.

There will be a gathering of family and friends 1 – 2 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2026 at Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, 500 W. 4th St., Williamsport where the memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m.

Her burial will be held privately in Woodland Cemetery, Coudersport, PA
