LIBERTY - Veda J. Fisher, 87 of Liberty passed away November 24, 2015 at The Gatehouse hospice facility in Williamsport.

She is the daughter of the late Donald and Clara "Nunn" Fisher of Liberty, formerly of Williamsport.

She was a graduate of Williamsport High School and Lycoming College. Until her retirement, Veda worked as a social worker for the state of Pennsylvania.

Veda enjoyed traveling and was an avid gardener.

She is survived by her sister Pauline Steele of Newcastle, Maine, several cousins and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother Donald Fisher Jr. and a sister Sarah Collins.

Veda's service will be held at the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, 500 West Fourth Street, Williamsport on December 10, 2015 at 10 a.m. and will be officiated by Pastor Michael Swimley. Burial will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Huntersville.
