Virginia A. Berninger, 83, of Williamsport, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at her residence.  She was born in Williamsport on May 26, 1937 the daughter of the late Harriet Mitchell Lose.  She was married to Richard Berninger who passed in 2007.  She was a homemaker her entire life.  She enjoyed her cats, watching TV and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Her survivors include one daughter; Sherie Breninger of Williamsport and four sons; Steven D. (Lori) of Dutch Harbor Alaska; James S. (Kristine) of Highspire; Matthew P. (Tammy) of Jersey Shore and Andrew L. of Michigan, as well as 16 grandchildren & 19 great grandchildren.  In addition to her mother she was predeceased by a son Mark and a daughter Michelle.

In keeping with Virginia's wishes, her services will be held privately at her family's convenience with interment in the Montoursville Cemetery.  Her family suggests contributions be made to L.A.P.S., 195 Phillips Park Dr., South Williamsport, Pa 17702 or The Gatehouse, 1100 Grampian Blvd. Williamsport, Pa 17701.
