William A. "Bill" Sunday, born on March 4, 1965, in Williamsport, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at his residence in Williamsport. Bill was a beloved husband, father, and friend. At the time of his passing, Bill was 59 years old.
Bill worked in customer service at LBI and Unilever providing assistance and support to those around him. Beyond his work, Bill found joy in spending time with his cherished cats.
An enthusiastic gamer, Bill immersed himself in the world of video games, finding solace and excitement in virtual adventures. He also shared his passion for gaming by playing Dungeons and Dragons with his friends, creating lasting memories and bonds through shared quests and battles.
Bill was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Williamsport and served his country with honor in the US National Guard and Air Force. His commitment to his country was unwavering, reflecting his strong values and sense of duty.
On June 25, 2005, Bill married the love of his life, Mary K. Wyland, and together they celebrated 19 years of marriage filled with love and laughter. Bill is survived by his wife Mary; mother, Mary Lee Thorne of Cogan Station; a daughter, Tara Sunday of Trout Run; a son, Brian (Tina) Reeder of Virginia; four grandchildren; an uncle, William (Deborah) Gardner; and his cherished furbaby, Scooter.
A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Williamsport, with Reverend Lauri Kerr officiating. There will be a time of fellowship following the service at the parish hall at the church. The family requests that donations be made in Bill's name to the Lycoming County SPCA, in lieu of flowers, at lycomingspca.org/donate/.
