SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT - Ann L. (Oakes) Sennett, 83, passed away peacefully, Monday March 15, 2020 with her two daughters by her side.
Ann was born in Williamsport on September 3, 1936. She had graduated from Williamsport High School. She had worked at GTE Sylvania.
Ann was known to many as Mimi. She always provided love and support to her family and would proudly boast about all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mimi had a great sense of humor, loved laughing, and spending time with her family and friends. For most of her years, she enjoyed playing Bingo, cards, and going to the casino with her sister Elsie. She enjoyed watching tennis & Figure skating and always kept up on current events- Mimi was the first to warn everyone when a Nor’Easter was heading towards town.
Mimi touched the heart of many generations of her family and will always be remembered as being the rock for her family for many years. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.
Mimi is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Peck (Jim Bennett) and Jeanette Kirkpatrick, grandchildren, Fred Peck, Wesley Peck, Brandon Peck (Caitlin), Sarah Cieslak (Christian), great grandchildren Emily, Ethan, Walker, Avery, Brianna, and Jaxon, brother, Clifford Rice, sister, Elsie Noon and several nieces and nephews. Mimi is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Annabelle Rice, beloved husband, Edward Sennett and grandson, Zachary Kirkpatrick.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
