Carmen Medina Obituary

Carmen D. Medina, born on March 25, 1952, in Manhattan, NY, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2024, at The Gatehouse in Williamsport. She lived a vibrant life filled with passion and determination, leaving behind a legacy that will forever inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Throughout her life, Carmen dedicated herself to helping others through her work at the Transitional Living Center in Williamsport. She was a force to be reckoned with, known for her love of dancing the salsa, her impeccable sense of style that always included high heels, and her talent in the kitchen as a great cook. Carmen also had a creative side, enjoying DIY projects, crocheting, and expressing herself through writing and poetry. In her younger years, she excelled in sports, running track and spending countless hours swimming.

Carmen's faith was a guiding light in her life, and she found solace in attending Ebenezer Baptist Church in Williamsport. While she cherished her entire family, her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she considered being a grandmother her greatest achievement.

She is survived by her four sons, Jamal Muse, Miguel Medina (Sharee), Christopher Hill, Jonathan Adderly; two daughters, Kayla Drummond and Rhonda Porter; 18 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Anthony Medina, Angelo Rosa, Luichy Reyes; and eight sisters, Leyda, Noelia, Mina, Beverly, Pebbles, Angela, Carolyn, and China, along with a host of other family and friends.

Services will be private, held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were entrusted to Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, Williamsport. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.jamesmaneval.com.
