WILLIAMSPORT - Dr. Ann T. (Weber) Williams, 90, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Valley View Nursing Center.

She was married on June 24, 1967 to the late Franklin V. Williams and they celebrated 47 years together at the time of his death in 2015.

Ann was born in Hazleton on October 1, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Arthur William and Cecelia (Murphy) Weber. She was a 1947 graduate of St. Joseph High School and attended Lycoming College from 1947-1949. She then attended and graduated from Marywood University 1949-1951 with a Bachelor of Education. She took additional coursework at Northwestern University and Bucknell University. She completed her Masters of Education from Penn State University. She began her doctoral work in education at Northwestern University and graduated with a PHD in Education from Penn State University in 1972. She was an employee of Williamsport Area School District for 40 years retiring in 1991. She taught at Clay, Washington and Webster Elementary Schools, was a Reading Supervisor and Elementary School Supervisor.

Ann was a lifetime member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish; Annunciation Church., life member of Delta Kappa Gamma and served 2 terms as president, past president of American Association University Women, past president of the Clio Club, member of the IHM Associate Program; the associate program is through the IHM community at Marywood, she was involved in the same book club for over 30 years and was an avid bridge player at the Women’s Club; serving as secretary for 2 years. Throughout the years she was involved in many other service and civic activities in the community. After her retirement, she and her late husband traveled extensively over the world.

Surviving are many loving nieces and nephews, whom she loved unconditionally. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers; Arthur William Weber, Jr., William John Weber and John Arthur Weber.

There will be a memorial mass held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at the St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Annunciation Church, 702 W. 4th St., Williamsport with the Rev. Brian Van Fossen as celebrant. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church and mailed to; 711 West Edwin St., Williamsport, PA 17701.

Arrangements are being handled by the Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport.
