George Nocket, Jr. Obituary


George F. Nocket Jr., age 65, of Loyalsock went home to meet his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. He passed at UPMC Susquehanna in Williamsport surrounded by his loved ones. Born May 29, 1956, he was the eldest child of the late George F. Nocket Sr. and his wife Mary E. Bulvich Nocket. 
George is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Naomi E. Houdeshell Nocket and their 3 children and son-in-law: Jonathan Nocket, Hannah Nocket and Elivia Nocket Hecker and her husband, Connor Hecker. Surviving family includes, his mother, Mary, and siblings, David, Daniel, Marianne, Suzanne Oler, married to Joseph, Rosanne Chinnici, married to John, Patrick, and Cindy Dorosky, married to Walter including numerous nieces and nephews and close family friend, Soy Go. 
George was a graduate of St. Clair High School and a college graduate of the former W.A.C.C. where he obtained 2 degrees, one in Electrical Engineering and the other in Electrical Technology and Construction. After Spending a loyal 32 years working as an Instrument Technician at Merck Chemical of Danville, PA, he retired April 30, of this year. 
A long time member of The Door Fellowship Church in Williamsport, PA, his faith was very important to him. George's greatest love and joy, however, were his wife and children. He was blessed with the valued friendships of co-workers, church friends, and neighbors. George enjoyed reading, watching old black and white war films, classic shows such as M.A.S.H. as well as History Trivia. He was an accomplished outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, working on cars and welding in his workshop. 
George's Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at The Door Fellowship Church at 470 Pine Street in Williamsport, PA 17701 at 11 AM with family friend, Neil Smith officiating. His family suggests contributions be made to The Door Fellowship Church Mission Fund, C/O
