Howard Kiess Obituary

Howard D. “Howie” Kiess, 58, of Jersey Shore, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022 at his home.

He was married on February 28, 2006 to the former Lynn A. (McKinley) and they have shared 16 years as husband and wife.

Howard was born on June 17, 1963 in Williamsport and was the son of Dorthy L. (Ludwig) Kiess of Williamsport and the late F. Edwin “Skip” Kiess.  He graduated from Williamsport High School in 1981 and Williamsport Area Community College with an associate degree.  He was the proud owner and operator of H K Cabinet Masters and was a member of the Red Run Club.  Howard enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, woodworking, his puppies and especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by three sons; Ethan D. Kiess (Nicole Willets) of Cogan Station, Caleb L. Kiess (Camryn Vecera) of Pittsburgh and Jakob G. Sponenberg of Jersey Shore, two daughters; Brittany L. Sponenberg (Donald Gentner) of Williamsport and Briget A. Delo (Elijah) of Zeeland, Michigan, two grandchildren; Bentley and Carter Gentner, five brothers; Charlie Kiess (Joan Mundrick) of Williamsport, Jeff Kiess (Tammy) of Cogan Station, Greg Kiess of Easton, Dennis Kiess of Montoursville and Donald Kiess of Cogan Station, three sisters; Pam Doherty (Gary) of Muncy, Pat Rogers (Jim) of Cogan Station and Audrey Kiess (Sue) of Cogan Station.  Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held May 1, 2022 at 2:00 PM at 128 Dunkard Church Road, Cogan Station, Pa  17728.

Arrangements are being handled by Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, 500 W. 4th St., Williamsport.
