Joanne A. (Mathis) Reese

Joanne A. Reese, born on June 4, 1955, in Jersey City, NJ, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2024, at We Care at Sycamore in Montoursville. Joanne lived a life filled with compassion and dedication, leaving a lasting impact on all those she encountered.

With a heart of gold and a spirit of kindness, Joanne served as a caregiver with UCP, touching the lives of many with her selfless actions. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her profession as she found joy in being a foster parent for 26 years. Joanne was honored with the Woman of Achievement and Safe Harbor Award in 2003. She loved crocheting blankets for others and creating beautiful diamond paintings.

Joanne's legacy of love and care lives on through her cherished family and friends. She is survived by her beloved sons Christopher Mathis, Charles, Kevin, Mohammed, Damon, Drew and Benjamin Reese, daughters Margaret Mathis, Jonette Patterson, and Theodora Reese, as well as her grandchildren, Nichole Hyman, Richard Owens, Shawn, Da'Shawn and Jonesco Patterson, Jean-Anne Mathis, Annie and Mia O'Neil and many great-grandchildren.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, Williamsport.
