Lisa R. Smith

WILKES-BARRE - Lisa R. Smith, 62, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023 at her sister’s home in Williamsport surrounded by her family.

Lisa was born on May 31, 1961 in Atlantic City, New Jersey and was the daughter of the late Jacob E. Davis and Alice Faye Smith.  She had worked at Schiel’s Family Market in Wilkes-Barre.

Lisa is survived by four sons; Chakahannah D. Smith of New York, Michael L. Smith of Williamsport, James W. Ritter of Harrisburg and Morris L. Smith of Williamsport, two daughters; Tymeka T. Smith and Tamirra S. Smith, both of Wilkes-Barre, 18 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, six grandchildren that she raised; Dae’Khaij Smith-Seward, Shakur Smith-El, Jayceon Smith, Keishaiyah Smith, Anylah Smith and Mirabellah Smith, four brothers; Stanley J. Smith of S. Williamsport, Marvin A. Smith of Wilkes-Barre and Eric L. Smith and Sean A. Smith, both of Williamsport and three sisters; Michelle D. Dobbs and Katherine M. Smith, both of Williamsport and Lavonda C. Smith of Wilkes-Barre, long term companion; Charles McCormick and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter; Sakena R. Smith, one granddaughter; Morrianah Smith and one goddaughter; Shyiemah Richardson.

The funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. at the Islamic Center, 322 Locust St., Williamsport with burial following in Wildwood Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, 500 W. 4th St., Williamsport.
