Lucile (Axman) Morrison, 98, of Williamsport, passed away on Friday, Dec. 6, 2019 at her home. She was born in Jersey Shore on Jan. 6, 1921 to the late Edward N. and Anna V. (Dincher) Axman.
Lucile was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. She worked at Williamsport hospital for many years in several positions. Lucile was an excellent baker and candy maker. She liked to crochet, knit, garden and play cards, but her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. Everyone enjoyed Lucile’s quick wit, her love for life and others and her eternal optimism.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis and Thomas Morrison, both of Williamsport, two daughters, Mary (Will) Edwards, Williamsport, and Ann (Jim) McMahon, Williamsport; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a sister, Phyllis Pellegrino, Williamsport.
In addition to her parents, Lucile is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Lamont A. Morrison, a granddaughter, Ashley M. Morrison, a brother, John Axman, and four sisters, Viola, Gertrude, Grace and Mary.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 10:00am at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. Fourth St., Williamsport with Father Brian Van Fossen officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport.
Lucile’s family will provide the flowers. The family suggests donations in her name be made to St. Joseph the Worker Parish at 702 W. Fourth St. Williamsport, PA 17701.
