Robert L. Conrad, 90, of Williamsport passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024 at RoseView Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Williamsport on October 4, 1933, a son of George and Rose Short Conrad. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Robert had a passion for cooking and was a chef in various locations based on his travels which he loved to do. He enjoyed college basketball especially the Villanova Wildcats. He also enjoyed walking and gave freely to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, St. Jude’s Hospital and supported the Easter Seals. He also felt strongly for the Wounded Warrior Project.
Robert’s survivors include his daughter, Julie A. Smith of Milton along with three sisters: Margaret “Peggy” Griffin of Williamsport, Annie Blanton of Harrisburg, and Jean Farrar of North Carolina. There are six grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 19 great-great grandchildren. Robert was predeceased by a daughter, Shirley Kellem in October of 2019, a great grandson, Jovan Gettings and a great-great granddaughter Jolii Ann Pridgen; and siblings Donald “Tank” Conrad and Jane E. Ross.
Robert’s Life Tribute Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 11am - 12pm from Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th Street, Williamsport, PA with Pastor Quinton Blanton officiating the service at 12pm. Interment will be held privately at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Full Military Honors will be accorded by the Jersey Shore Honor Guard immediately following his services.
