The beloved Sara Jane (Curnow) Lafferty, 76, of Montoursville, Passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at UPMC Susquehanna in Williamsport.  She was born in Pottsville, February 19, 1945, a daughter of Edward and Jean (Reber) Curnow. Sara Jane was a high school graduate of Pottsville High School.  She married Charles W. Lafferty, Sr., June 26, 1965, who survives, they shared 56 years together.

Sara Jane was caretaker for everybody and was the main “cog” on the family wheel.  She was a devoted wife and mother and she always put her family first.  Sara Jane loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren so very much.

Sara Jane is survived by her loving husband, Charles, and two sons, Charles, Jr. of North Carolina, Edward, of Hughesville; two daughters, Lisa Lafferty, of South Williamsport and Hattie Lafferty, of Muncy.  There are six grandchildren, Mathew Pelleschi (Britney), Jesseca Pelleschi, Nicholia Lafferty, Nolen Lafferty, Chris Lafferty and Paige Lafferty; three great grandchildren, Landen, Ryu and Jack; along with two sisters Susan Schneck and Kris Verba.

Sara Jane’s Life Tribute Memorial Service will be held, Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, 500 West 4th Street, Williamsport where friends may visit from 1 PM until 2 PM. Please observe Covid 19 protocol.
