WILLIAMSPORT - Tyjair Rayquan Barbee, born on March 2, 2002, in Philadelphia, was taken from us far too soon on August 19, 2023, in Montgomery, PA, due to a tragic Automobile Accident. He was just 21 years old at the time of his passing.
Tyjair was a remarkable individual who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. His radiant smile and infectious laughter could brighten even the darkest of days. He possessed a spirit that was both vibrant and uplifting, inspiring those around him to embrace life with enthusiasm and passion.
Throughout his life, Tyjair worked diligently at Amark Food & Supply Services, where he displayed an unwavering commitment to excellence. He approached every task with determination, leaving a lasting impression on his colleagues and supervisors alike.
Sports held a special place in Tyjair's heart, and he found great joy in playing soccer with Ayso and Williamsport High School. His skills on the basketball court were admired by many. However, nothing compared to the love he had for his son, Khaij James, who was his world. Tyjair also shared an unbreakable bond with his twin sister, Tydaysha, who stood by his side through thick and thin.
As a child, Tyjair found solace in his faith and attended Emmanuel Baptist Church. His belief in a higher power brought him comfort and strength during challenging times, reminding us all of the power of faith and the importance of community.
Tyjair leaves behind a loving family and a multitude of cherished friends. He will forever be remembered by his mother, Renee Y. Barbee of Williamsport. He is survived by his son, Khaij James, and his brother, Kerron Dicks (Fatima), both of Williamsport, sisters, (twin) Tydaysha Barbee of Williamsport, Katria Barbee of Williamsport, Aliya Keyes (Steve) of Turbotville, Brittany Harmon of Williamsport, Faith Woods of Williamsport, Nyjaya Fowler of Williamsport, and Laila Fowler of Philadelphia, mourn his loss deeply.
He also leaves behind two nephews who were like brothers to him, Zamir Keyes and Ahmahd Keyes of Turbotville. Additionally, his cousins, Amir Barbee and Ayanna Barbee of Williamsport, who were raised like siblings, will forever hold him close in their hearts. Tyjair is survived by his biological mother, Zakia Fowler of Williamsport, and his biological father, Stacey Jones of Philadelphia. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom loved him dearly.
A public viewing will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home, located at 500 West 4th St., Williamsport. The funeral service will commence at 12:00 p.m., following the viewing.
