Vivian W. “Sis” Belle, 89, of Williamsport passed away Wednesday afternoon October 7, 2020 at the Gatehouse Hospice in Williamsport. She was born in Williamsport April 30, 1931 a daughter of Samuel and Charlotte Irvin Belle.
Sis was a 1950 graduate of Williamsport High School and in 1955 moved to New York City where she spent the next 42 years as a bookkeeper and accountant with retail businesses in the city. She returned to Williamsport in 1997. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She was a very accomplished seamstress and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and sewing. She was a member of the V.I.P.’s at the former Bethune Douglas Center. She also enjoyed reading and her family was very close to her heart.
Her survivors include her brother Samuel E. Belle of Williamsport and her sister Esther Smith of Norristown, 3 nieces and 3 nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews and 11 great - great nieces and nephews along with her cousins. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister Daphne Belle Anderson.
Sis’s Life Tribute Service will be held at 11am Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Shiloh Baptist Church 433 Walnut St., Williamsport, PA 17701 with her Pastor Conrad Gibson presiding. Relatives and close friends may call at the church from 10 – 11am Wednesday before her services. Please observe social distancing and wear a protective mask.
