LOYALSOCK - Gordon Taylor, 84, died on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
He was married to the former Emily D. (Doebler) in 1989, who survives.
Gordon was a veteran with the US Navy and served during the Korean War. He retired after 22 years as Senior Chief Musician. He had also worked at Robert M. Sides Music Center for over 20 years. He was Methodist by faith, member of the Masonic Lodge and Williamsport Consistory. He was assistant conductor and member for the Repasz Band for 35 years. He was also a musician (saxophone player) for many local bands. Music was his life.
In addition to his wife Emily, he is survived by one son; James Taylor of Daytona, FL, one daughter; Connie Bolling of Virginia Beach, VA, three grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother; John Taylor.
There will be a public viewing 2 – 4 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 West 4th St., Williamsport where the funeral will be held at 4:00 p.m. The Reverend William Pipp will officiate the service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
