Jean M. (Keller) Truckenmiller

Jean Marie (Keller) Truckenmiller, 92, of Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village and formerly of South Williamsport, died on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.

She was married to the late William H. Truckenmiller for 35 years until his death in 1981.

Jean was born in Williamsport on December 6, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Charles and Leda (Maneval) Keller.  She graduated in 1941 from Williamsport High School then graduated in 1945 from the Williamsport School of Nursing.  She had worked at the Williamsport Hospital in isolation during the polio outbreak and also worked private and general duty.  She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, S. Williamsport.  Jean enjoyed cooking, reading, bingo and gardening.

Jean is survived by two daughters; Debra Marshall (Robert) of Montgomery and Kathy Straub (Bill) of Jersey Shore and one grandson; Jacob of Williamsport.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother; C. Donald Keller and one sister; Doris in 2010.

There will be a gathering of family and friends 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 W. 4th St., Williamsport where the funeral will be held 12:00 p.m.  The Reverend Dr. Kerry Aucker will officiate the service.  Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.

The family will provide the flowers and ask that memorial contributions be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
