Lou Sibula

Lou Sibula

Supervisor, Licensed Funeral Director & Certified Celebrant

Lou has been an associate with Allen & Redmond Funeral Home since 2005. He is a licensed funeral director and serves families at our Rearick-Carpenter and James Maneval Funeral Home locations.

Originally from South Western Pennsylvania, he graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in September 1993. He worked in Pennsylvania from 1993 to 1999 when he moved to South Carolina, obtained his funeral director license there to work at a funeral home and was the head of the pre-need department.  In 2003 he decided to move back to Pennsylvania to be closer to family.  He started with Heffner Family Services in York then transferred to the Williamsport location where he has been ever since.  He enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.

Lou is also a Certified Celebrant. If you are not a member of a church or if you simply do not wish to have a religious service, he can help you. As a Certified Celebrant, Lou works with families to create a meaningful tribute that reflects the personality and life-style of the deceased. He received his training and certification from the In-Sight Institute. 

Lou serves as supervisor of Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home.


Sierra Pryor

Funeral Director

Sierra has been a member of our staff since June of 2017. She is licensed funeral director and serves families at Rearick-Carpenter and Maneval Allen Redmond locations. 


Sierra grew up in Saint Marys, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in January of 2017 and completed her internship at Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home. She is a certified crematory operator and Celebrant. 


When Sierra is off, she likes to travel, go to her cabin in Pine Creek, kayak, spend time with family and friends, cook, re-read the Harry Potter series and hang out with her feline fur baby, Violet. She looks forward to having a German Shepherd puppy in the future.


Jim Carpenter

James Calvin Carpenter was born on October 18, 1947, near Hammondsport, NY on Lake Keuka.  Jim moved with his family to the farm near Ellisburg, PA at age five.  He graduated from Northern Potter High School in 1965 and attended Indiana University of PA and graduated Simmons Mortuary School in Syracuse, NY in at Fairfield and Meech Chapel in Syracuse, NY.  Jim was a licensed funeral director at Gray Funeral Home in Port Jervis, NY from 1969 until joining Bob Rearick in Jersey Shore in 1974 where he has been located ever since.  Jim's funeral directing career has spanned over 6 decades.  He currently counsels at Rearick Carpenter in Jersey Shore, Maneval Allen Redmond in Williamsport, Tussey Mosher in Wellsboro and Fickingers in Coudersport.  Jim has ben married for 48 years to the former Jolene Marie Chase of Ulysses and they have four children: William D., Dr. Nathan J., Amy L. Caseman, and Lucas C., along with eight grandchildren.  Over the years, Jim has been a member of the Antique and Classic Boat Society of Clayton, NY, Lions Club, Masonic Organizations in NY, Elks Lodge, Little League Baseball, and Pop Warner Football.  Jim enjoys antique boat restoration, music, meditation, hunting, fishing, theater, and visiting the "retreat" in Ellisburg, The Finger Lakes, The St. Lawrence, and Nashville, TN.


Stephanie Stout

Office Manager / Community Outreach Coordinator

Stephanie has been a member of our staff since July of 2019. She was born and raised in Jersey Shore, PA.  She graduated from Jersey Shore Area High School in 1999 and later received an Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration and also a Certification as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician.  Stephanie has 4 beautiful children Isaiah, Aubree, Seneca, and Elijah. She is the daughter of Ken and Sherry Pittenger and has 2 siblings, a sister Jamie and a brother; the late Zachary J. Pittenger.  Stephanie and her brother Zachary always had a dream about working together in the funeral business.  Stephanie has moved into the role of Office Manager for both Rearick-Carpenter and Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Homes.  Along with being our office manager, she still maintains the role of Community Outreach Coordinator for our firm!  While not in the office, Stephanie enjoys spending time and cooking with her husband, Joshua and relaxing with the two youngest sons, Eli and Alex.    


Zach Pittenger

Zach Pittenger

1989-2017

Zach was the son of Ken and Sherry (Baney) Pittenger of Antes Fort. He was married to his High School sweatheart, Kayla Strunk, the daughter of Kent and Kim (Welker) Strunk of Avis. In May of 2015 they were blessed with a beautiful baby boy, Sylus. 


He was a member of the La Belle Valley Masonic Lodge #232 and the Jersey Shore Lions Club. Zach was a proud graduate of Jersey Shore Area High School.  


After High School he studied in Business at Lock Haven University before going to Mortuary School at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Completing Mortuary School in 2012, he then returned back to his home town of Jersey Shore to fulfill his internship under James C. Carpenter, at Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home. He actually began working at the Funeral Home in 2007 as a part-time employee and had always aspired to become a Funeral Director. 

While supporting himself through school, Zach worked at Lingle’s Market in Jersey Shore where he held various positions such as cashier, produce manager and even worked his way up to becoming Assistant Store Manager. It is here that he spent 7 years building his basis for customer service and served his community in a more compassionate and dignified manner. 

He took great pride in comforting our grieving families and being there for them in such a time of need. Zach worked at Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home and served as supervisor of James C. Maneval Funeral Home.

Zach passed away on April 22, 2017 in a tragic car accident.


Troy Showers

Crematory Operator/Part-Time Support Staff

Troy Showers was born and raised in Salladasburg.  He attended Jersey Shore Area High School and graduated in 2004.  He attended Bloomsburg University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Master’s Degree in Education.  He is an active member of his Masonic Lodge in Hazleton and volunteers for the Cancer Society every year with their Santa Claus fundraiser.  He still resides in his hometown of Salladasburg with his two Chihuahuas (Eddie and Emmit).  Troy has been working with Tributes of Life Crematory since 2021 and has been a support staff member for both Maneval Allen Redmond in Williamsport and Rearick Carpenter in Jersey Shore.  In that time, he has completed and earned his Crematory Operator’s Certificate and is currently enrolled in the Funeral Director/Embalming program at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.  Besides work and school, Troy enjoys gardening, cooking, and relaxing with his partner Luke and going on adventures to new places.

James Pegg is a native of Danville, PA and graduated from Danville Area High School and Bloomsburg University with a B. S. and M. Ed. degree in Business Education.  Jim retired from the Williamsport Area School District after 35 years as a business teacher and department chair.  He also taught for Columbia College and Penn College part time.  He and his wife, Helen have been married since 1967 and has lived in South Williamsport for the past 40 years.  Their son Matt, his wife Stacy, and three grandchildren live in North Carolina.  Jim is a member of Saint Lawrence Catholic Church where he serves as an usher. After retiring in 2002, Jim joined the support staff of the Maneval Allen Redman Funeral Home. 


Steve Moyer

Steve is a lifetime resident of Jersey Shore, graduating from the Jersey Shore Senior High School in 1966.  Steve retired from the Jersey Shore Steel Mill in 2010 after 45 years of service.  He has 2 children and 3 grandchildren.  Steve was a coach for many years for Jersey Shore Little League and Jr. Legion Ball Teams and is an active member of the Masons.  Steve has been with Rearick Carpenter Funeral Home for many years and is also in charge of Daytime Maintenance. 


Gene Kurzejewski

Gene is a native of Blossburg, PA.  He graduated from North Penn High School, Mansfield University with a B.S. Degree in Education and Pennsylvania State University with a Masters in Educational Administration.  Gene has 40+ years of experience in education as a teacher in the Williamsport School District, as principal and assistant superintendent in the Jersey Shore School District for 31 years and as principal, administrator and advisor at St. John Neumann Regional Academy.  After his retirement from Jersey Shore in 2002, Gene joined the support staff of the Rearick Carpenter and Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Homes.  Gene resided in the Jersey Shore area and until 2019 and now lives in Loyalsock.  He and his wife, Marilyn, have been married since 1969 and have two children, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  He is a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church.  He served as chairman of the Mifflin Township Recreation Board and was active in many community organizations.  In his spare time, Gene and his wife enjoy traveling and spending time with family.

 


Edward Hubbell

Ed was born in Philadelphia, PA but grew up in Williamsport and graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1969.  Ed served in the Air Force and has been married to his wife, Linda, for 45 years.  They have four children and two grandchildren. He and his wife have resided in Linden for the past 42 years.  Ed once owned and operated Hubbell Window Cleaning/Janitorial business but after 35 years he gave that up and worked for Blaise Alexander Chevrolet until his retirement in 2012. Ed is very active with the Jersey Shore Lions Club and is currently serving a two year term as Club President.He has been employed as a part-time support staff at Maneval Funeral Home since 2014. 


Terrance Blanton

Terrance was born in Williamsport, PA and graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 2013. Upon graduation, Terrance joined the US Army Reserves and remained enlisted for 8 years. He also attended Bloomsburg University, graduating in 2017 with a B.A. Degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. After graduation Terrance went on to work with juveniles on probation as a case manager at Justice Works Youth Care. He has been with Maneval Allen Redmond and Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Homes since 2019. Terrance is currently employed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), and is currently a Mental Health Treatment Specialist at USP Allenwood. He enjoys spending time with his fiancé Rachel and their daughter India. 


Bob Brown

Bob lives in Linden with his wife Beth.  Together they have 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.  Bob graduated in 1973 from Williamsport High School.  He retired from PennDot in 2020 as a Bridge Inspector.  He has been with Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home and Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home as a part-time support staff member since January 2022.  He enjoys camping in the summer with his wife, Beth and their dog, Zoey.


Sherry Pittenger

Part-Time Support Staff

Sherry recently retired from being our beloved Office Manager in 2021, but is still willing to help out when needed.  She originally joined the staff in September of 2015 at Rearick-Carpenter in Jersey Shore and James C. Maneval in Williamsport.  She was previously a School Secretary with the Jersey Shore School District retiring after almost 20 years.

It was always a dream of hers to be her son, Zach’s, Secretary so she decided to come out of retirement to work with him.  Her husband Ken is also one of our part time staff at Rearick-Carpenter working there for the past several years. 

She is really enjoying her new position and learning all there is to know about the funeral home business.  

Sherry and Ken have been married for over 30 years and reside in Antes Fort with their Boxer, Molly, and their cat, Cali.
